Business Card Design - For those who mean business

Make the most out of your business card

Your business card is an amazing way to advertise yourself, to let people know exactly who you are, what you do and how they can contact you. Cards have been around for hundreds of years, originally used as calling cards in social circles but today it is the forerunner to advertising your business.

The ever evolving form of contact

Social media has changed the way we work and communicate with each other socially and in business. You no longer have a simple contact number and business address - you need to give clients and potential clients, more options to communicate directly with you. You need to include your business mobile, email, web address and links to more information, like your professional portfolio, you can direct them to your social media profiles such as Facebook and Twitter, or you can include a QR code that when scanned takes them directly to the sites you want them to see.

The Information on the card is just as important as its presentation. Though the idea of business card remains relevant, old-fashioned rectangles of white cardboard do not. We now have so many choices to present yourself in a different light with special finishes like a matt celloglaze or a brilliant high gloss card, raised printing and foil stamping and so many more options.

And lastly, but very relevant is creativity and originality. You want something that defines you or your business, to your new and potential customers. You want to make an impression before the words on the card are ever read. Great design always sells.
